His first plan after completing his bachelor's degree at OAU was to return to his hometown of Abeokuta. But he suddenly decided to take the risk of pursuing his music career in Lagos.

Having no family in Lagos, he stayed with friends from his school. He randomly started attending shows and asked to sing at some. Elsewhere he paid or had a friend pay for it.
