Fik Fameica's Biography in Summary

Walukagga Shafik alias Fik Fameica, a Ugandan hip-hop rapper, was born on January 10, 1996 in Kawempe, Kampala. He is a Muganda by tribe and a Muslim by religion, and he always mentions God (Allah) when discussing his life and accomplishments.

Fameica began as an independent artist before joining Black Man Town music label in 2015, led by fellow singer Geosteady, where he later returned to being independent before signing with Kama Ivien Management in 2017.

He is currently the CEO of the "Fresh Gang" music label, which he founded two years ago.

Fik's Early Life and Education Fameica's educational journey is a little complicated because he was expelled several times due to his clothing style. Fameica was expelled from every school he tried to attend because he wore tight uniforms.

The singer, on the other hand, went to Kawempe Junior School and Dungu Hill Primary School. After that, he attended Kawempe Royal College and Stennar Hill School for O'levels before transferring to Kawempe Muslim and Oxford High School for A'levels.

Work and Experiential Learning
When you look at Fik Fameica's musical journey, you will notice that he is among the artists who took the shortest time to progress from emerging to established.

His rapid growth can be attributed to his immense talent, hard work, eagerness to learn, emphasis on quality productions, and, most importantly, consistency.

Fameica signed a big deal in 2018 when he was signed as a brand ambassador for Africell, a telecommunications company. Not only did Africell provide him with funds to further his music career, but he also contributed to the singer's popularity by featuring him on Africell campaign billboards.

Due to Fameica's burning desire to be an international artist, he has so far secured collaborations such as "Omu Bwati with Patoranking" and "Wansakata" in 2019.

Fik Fameica has had a passion for music since he was a child, but his breakthrough in the Uganda music industry came in 2015 with the release of "Pistol" on the Black Man Town Music label, which is run by Geosteady.

Fik eventually left the label.

Fameica became the most booked Ugandan artiste in the country in 2017 under Karma Ivien management, thanks to singles such as "Mbega We Baala," "Batuwulira," and "Byenyenya." This marked a watershed moment in his career, as he went on to become Uganda's most popular artist.

However, in 2018, he demonstrated a great deal of creativity when he released songs such as Mafia, My Property, Tonskuma, and Kutama, which earned him awards such as Breakthrough Artist, Best in Hip-Hop, and Best Rap Song for his track "Kutama" at the annual HiPipo Awards.

In 2019, he collaborated with Nigerian superstar Patoranking to produce Omu Bwati, fulfilling his dream of becoming an international music star. And later collaborated with Joe Boy on "Wansakata."

In the same year, Fik Fameica launched his "Fresh Gang" record label.

 Relationships
Following his success in the music industry, Fik Fameica has been linked to a number of women, including media personality and socialite Sheilah Gashumba, whose relationship was widely publicized.

Sheilah Gashumba and Fameica's relationship was short-lived, as she dumped him for Ali Marcus Lwanga, also known as God's Plan, and in 2020, Fameica was rumored to be in love with an American UNICEF Ambassador Halima Aden.

And now, the Ugandan Hip-hop rapper is rumored to be in love with a fellow Singer Lydia Jazmine, though the two have always denied the rumors, especially Lydia Jazmine.
Controversies
In 2020, a group of women went to court and filed a case against Ugandan rapper Fik Fameica and producer Artin Pro, claiming that the 2018 song "My Property" demeans women.

Magistrate Musa Ssekana scheduled the case for hearing on December 1, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at the High Court. Fik Fameica appeared in court with his lawyers on the appointed date to defend himself against the case.

Fik spoke to journalists after the court hearing and stated that he did not intend to denigrate the female gender.
