He began his education in Bungoma before enrolling in higher education at the University of Nairobi. His rugby career began at Kamusinga High School. Omanyala is presently enrolled in the University's Bachelor of Science in Chemistry program.

His athletic career dates back to his childhood, when he was interested in athletics. Before pursuing sprinting, he was a rugby player at the University of Nairobi. He is a 100m sprinter who is pushing the boundaries of his sport. Ferdinand Omanyala made history at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics, which were postponed last year due to the Covid-19 situation. He was the first Kenyan to compete in the semi-finals of the 100m sprint. He set a national record of 10.00 seconds there.
Personal life, wife, and kids
