He is the founder and CEO of Mavin Records, the new name for the defunct Mo'hits Records, which gave birth to stars such as D'banj, D'prince, and Tiwa Savage.

Don Jazzy's tribe

He is not a Yoruba man, as many people believe, but was born and raised in Ajegunle, Lagos State. His father is from the Delta State town of Isoko. His mother is an Igbo princess from Abia state, and his father is an Isoko native.

Education

Micheal Collins studied at Nigeria's prestigious Federal Government College in Lagos. He later earned his first degree in Business Management from Ambrose Ali University in Ekpoma, Edo state.

Mrs. Don Jazzy

Don Jazzy is a divorcee, having separated from his wife in 2005. In 2003, at the age of 22, he married Michelle Jackson. Don Jazzy's divorce claim is that he had issues because of his ambitious nature, where he was more married to his music than his wife, resulting in a total breakdown in their marriage. The union produced no children.

The musical career of Don Jazzy

Don Jazzy's musical career began in London, where he collaborated with JJSkillz, Jesse Jagz, Dbanji, SOLEK, and the 419 Squad.

He later returned to Nigeria to form the Mo'hits records label. In 2004, he collaborated with D'banj to create the album No Long Thing, which catapulted them to fame.

Don Jazzy later enlisted Wande Coal to produce an album titled Mushin 2 Mo'Hits, which became an instant hit and was dubbed the best album produced by a Nigerian at the time.

He also co-produced American rapper Kanye West's song "Lift Off," which featured Beyonce and Jay-Z.

Net worth

According to various online estimates, Don Jazzy is worth between $10 million and $25 million. Meanwhile, this cannot be independently verified, and no reputable net worth estimator, such as Forbes, can confirm it.

Betway, a betting platform, has named Don Jazzy as its ambassador for the 2020 season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija).

We don't know how much he was paid, but he appeared frequently in the operator's promotional materials, including videos demonstrating how to use the cutting-edge Betway App.

Mavin Records
Don Jazzy launched another record label, Mavin Records, on May 7, 2012, and released an album featuring all signed artists. Amarachi, Oma Ga, Take Banana and Chocolate, YOLO, and I'm an MAVIN anthem are among the songs included on the album. Tiwa Savage, a talented musician, was also signed to the label.

Wande Coal parted ways with Mavin Records on November 7, 2013, following a two-day conflict with Ajereh, a member of the group. Reekado Banks left the music group a few years later. Mavin Records recently signed Ayra Starr, a young and talented female music artist.
