DJ Spinall, also known as Top Boy, is a Nigerian super DJ, songwriter, music producer, label executive, and media personality who was born on June 2, 1984. He is one of the few well-known DJs who has been around for a long time and is still considered one of the best. In 2004, the award-winning DJ rose to prominence while working for Ray Power 100.5 FM, a popular radio station in Lagos. DJ Spinall, real name Oluseye Desmond Sodamola, is a Nigerian entertainer.
DJ Spinall, real name Sodamola Oluseye Desmond, was born on June 2, 1984, in the commercial city of Lagos. He grew up with five other siblings. He was the third child to arrive.
He is a Yoruba Christian who grew up in a middle-class family in Lagos' ancient city before moving to Ogun state in south-west Nigeria a few years later.
DJ Spinall grew up listening to music and idolized Legendary Onyeka Onwenu, Bob Marley, Lucky Dube, and a slew of other artists. He got his first DJ gig in a church and was paid 500 Naira for his services.
DJ Spinall finished primary and secondary school in Lagos, earning a mandatory Senior School Leaving Certificate (SSCE) and a West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate.
Following that, he attended Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun state, not far from Lagos, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
DJ Spinall is a Nigerian Disc Jockey known for his distinctive top hat. In 2004, he began his professional career as a DJ for Ray Power, a Lagos-based radio station broadcasting on 100.5 FM.
He rose to prominence and even joined the Nite industry, which promotes underground talent.
Wande Coal, the then-Mavins Records superstar, was impressed with this DJ's work and hired him as his personal DJ.
His job required him to appear on TV and in music videos with Wande Coal, which is when he adopted the style edge outfit known as TheCAP. He claimed that the secret to his distinct identity could be traced back to his ancestors.
Fans loved his mixes and his ability to turn up the party, so he was dubbed "The Crazy Azz Party" by TheCAP. DJ Spinall gained more clout and launched TheCAP music, a record label and management company, in 2014.
He later signed music producers to his label and hired crew members to help his brand Company.
The following year, he released his first hit single, "GbaGbe E," featuring Burna Boy.
DJ Spinall has worked with 2baba, Wande Coal, Wizkid, Davido, Mr Eazi, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Kizz Daniel, Joeboy, Fireboy DML, and a slew of other artists.
DJ Spinall became the first DJ of Nigerian descent to tour five US cities in 2017: New York, Houston, Miami, Washington, DC, and Austin. He received an award for Official DJ of the Year 2017 at the BET Awards in Los Angeles.
DJ Spinall is one of Africa's most successful DJs, not just in Nigeria. He has several awards to back up his claim. Among the most notable are;

DJ Spinall stands 5 feet 11 inches tall and is a fantastic Disc Jockey. He is a celebrity without pride, as he has been seen walking down the streets of Lagos with regular people. In an interview, he even admitted to drinking Garri at least once a week. DJ Spinall is not married and does not have children. Instead, he is thought to be in a secret relationship. DJ Spinall has successfully kept the lady's identity hidden from the media.
