Chike-Ezekpeazu Osebuka (born 28 January 1993) popularly known by his stage name CHIKE is a singer, songwriter and actor known for his participation on the Nigerian reality competition Project Fame West Africa in 2015 and also in the talent competition TV show The Voice Nigeria Season 1 finishing runner-up on the show. Chike is an ambassador for Airtel Nigeria. Chike made his acting debut as Mayowa Badmus on the Africa Magic Showcase telenovela Battleground.

Chike was born on the 28th of January, 1993 in a family of four. An indigene of Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria. Chike happened to have been born into a music-loving family which helped him to pick up music as a career.

Chike holds a Degree in Computer Engineering from Covenant University.

Musical Career

Chike, being born into a music-loving family made his musical career easy. He started singing in 2009 and got involved in various competitions which helped in grooming his talent, he also emerged as the winner as the best vocalist in a competition in his high school in the same year.

He got involved in the Project Fame West Africa and made it to the top 10 was eliminated in that round.

After being eliminated in the competition, Chike didn’t give up but got involved in The Voice Nigeria which ended as runner-up in the competition. He got himself an Ambassadorial deal from Airtel alongside other finalists after being a runner-up in the Airtel Sponsored Competition.

While being discovered as the missing piece by several Nigerian superstars, Chike was signed under the Universal Republic and he went ahead to release a single “Fancy You” in 2016 and a video was followed up.

In November 2017, Chike announced leaving the Universal Republic and becoming an independent artist and dropped an amazing single “Beautiful People” in February 2018.

February 2020, Chike released a widely accepted album “Boo Of The Booless” consisting of 14 tracks. The album immediately catapulted him to the greater limelight and made him a household name. The album is currently receiving massive airplay and topping charts across several countries.

Acting Career

Chike debuted as Mayowa Badmus in a movie by Africa Magic named Battleground in April 2017, a drama series.
