                                                        Samantha Bridal is one of the most popular wedding shows on Kenyan television. Most people associate it with elegance, glitz, and fairy tale weddings. Aside from the show, the company has organized dozens of weddings over the years, greatly contributing to the country's multi-million dollar wedding industry.
They have also showcased numerous designs and products from all over the world at their wedding fairs. From multi-million dollar weddings to small-scale weddings, the team is known for providing professional services that make each client feel special. 
 
Dr. Catherine Masitsa, a veterinary professional, created the show and company.
Samantha Bridal's founder grew up in Eldoret and Kakamega counties. She attended Moi Girls before moving on to Butere Girls for her A levels. They were the last group to take the A level exams before the introduction of 8-4-4.
She studied veterinary medicine at the University of Nairobi, where she later earned her MBA. Dr. Catherine has also completed a number of executive programs at Strathmore Business School. 
 
She worked for some of the largest pharmaceutical companies before venturing into the world of media. She worked for the multinational pharmaceutical company Pfizer. During this time, she honed her management, sales, and marketing abilities.
The entrepreneur then worked at Norbrook as the technical sales manager in charge of Africa. She later worked for the European Union as a national project officer. She was in charge of program management for the union-funded rural development projects in this position.
According to Forbes, she founded Going Out Magazine in 2000 with a $500 investment. During this time, she learned about the advertising industry in the country.
They wanted publishers to be well-versed in their market. Her own wedding in 2003 sparked her desire to launch a bridal magazine. Samantha Bridal, the country's first of its kind, debuted in 2004. After she got her TV show, the magazine became well-known.
The post-election violence in 2007-2008 had a significant impact on her business, as advertisers stopped advertising with them. She was forced to shut down Going Out Magazine as well as another publication she was running called Business Woman.
When she first started the Bridal Magazine, her dream was to have a TV show. Despite filming a pilot, she didn't land the deal until much later. She began filming for the TV show in 2009, and it premiered in 2010.
It went on to become one of the most popular bridal shows, drawing thousands of viewers. Samantha has covered some of the country's most lavish weddings. In a previous interview, she stated that she has seen people spend as little as Ksh7,000 and as much as Ksh200 million on a wedding.
At the age of 24, she met her husband Andras while working for Pfizer. He was a consultant neurologist and professor at Moi University at the time. She was conducting market research for a new product and collaborating with the Eldoret medical fraternity.
She was hesitant to go out with him at first because he was her client. He proposed two weeks after going out with him, but she kept him waiting for eight years.
She previously told The Standard that she has a daughter named Elona. 
 
Samantha Bridal CEO was recently revealed as the sixth cast member in the Real Housewives of Nairobi show. She is excited to join the fourth season of the franchise, which she says is a great way for fans to get to know her because she isn't very active on social media.
