Carol Nantongo is a Ugandan female music artist and teacher who is extremely passionate about music. She is also one of Uganda's fastest rising music artists. Carol Nantogo was born in Uganda's Central region to Mr. Mugerwa John, her father, and Rose Namagembe, her mother.

She is from the Buganda tribe. Carol Nantongo claims that her father abandoned them when she was young, despite the fact that he had some money with him.
Carol Nantongo began her primary school education at Sunset Primary School in Kireka and then transferred to Kireka Grammar Primary School, where she finished her primary school education.
She attended Kira Secondary School after finishing primary school and was unable to continue her education due to a lack of school fees.
Carol Nantongo stated that she began singing as a child and was able to join the church choir at a church in Namugongo, where she lived with her parents.

Carol Nantongo revealed that in her early years, she went about ten years without watching television, and she also used to borrow clothes and dig for people in order to make some money to eat.
