The computer science program focuses on training individuals on developing and managing software systems (National Academies of Sciences, 2018). A degree in the field can allow graduates to pursue a vast number of careers.  According to computer science professors, the graduates in the field are not limited to technology companies; however, the increase of technology use in any business system means grads in the area are hiring a lot more. In fact, according to https://www.bls.gov/ooh/computer-and-information-technology/home.htm, USA bureau of labor statistics, computer science jobs are continually increasing and is projected to have increased by 13% from 2016 to 2026.

There are several careers a computer science graduate can land; some of them are principal software engineer, security architect, and salesforce developer. A principal software engineer bears the responsibility of the technical sides of their organization’s projects by diagnosing, documenting, and troubleshooting with a view of resolving the problems. Security architects, on the other hand, labors to maintain an organization’s systems secure. The individuals anticipate hackers’ moves by thinking like them first and blocking loopholes. However, salesforce developers manage and customize technical instances of an organization’s salesforce by utilizing core technologies like apex

According to Kowarski (2019), computer science jobs are one of the best paying jobs. For instance, a principal software engineer position attracts up to $147 000 a year, according to Payscale. On the other hand, security architect pays up to $ 133000 per annum while salesforce developer attracts $ 109000 during the same period.

According to Payscale’s survey, the first job on the satisfaction list is a mediator, also known as an arbitrator. Mediators are professional brokers of agreements and have a rating of 90%. Second, on the list is a pediatrician with 89% ratings, third is education administrator with 88% ratings, fourth is radio therapist with 86%, and is medical and health service manager with 81% ratings.
