Nikita Chepchumba Kering' well known as Nikita Kering' was born on the 26th Feb 2002 in Nairobi Kenya. She is a musician, performer, and songwriter. 

Nikita Kering's Music and Career Journey

Nikita started singing at a very young age of 3 years and her parents started nurturing her and have been supportive of her talent since then. She made a name for herself and showcased her stage performance in 2012 during Emmy Kosgei's album launch. She pursued a business in technology specializing in music performance, business, marketing, and production in her studies.

Her career breakthrough was in 2018 when she released her single 'Happy with You', then in 2019 she 'Tragedy,' a hit powerful production of emotions and a mature address over violence and abusive relationships despite her being a very young musician in the industry.

She signed up for Mr. Eazi's initiative EMPAWA Africa whose motive was to improve African talent exposure to global levels. She impressively emerged as a top 10 finalist to undergo training and grooming for the international stage. She attributes her career to hard work and guidance of establishment to artists such as Eric Wainaina.

She has bagged herself the Pulse Music Video Award, New Artist of the Year in 2018, and in 2019 she got the Best Female Artiste East Africa and Revelation of the African Continent in the AFRIMA. 

She recently released the EP 'A Side of Me,' which comprises of soulful compilations of her previously released singles and new ones under the signature Nikita Kering' sound including 'Ex,' ' Never let you go,' 'Where you been,' 'Crossing lanes,' among others that are among the top 100 chart list and toping on Spotify.

She plans to start a record label in the future to nurture and guide artists through the music industry. She not only wants to expand in her career journey but to also uplift others in the same career path. She has a voice of an angel and the heart of one too.
