The Ghetto Kids, originally known as Triplets Ghetto Kids, is a dance and singing group that Daouda Kavuma created in 2014 with kids from the Katwe slum in Kampala, Uganda. They have made appearances on well-known platforms all around the world, including French Montana's "Unforgettable" music video and a World Cup 2022 event in Qatar, where they performed..
A video of dancers Alex, Fred, Bachir, Patricia, and Isaac to "Sitya Loss" by Eddy Kenzo became viral in 2014 and received over 8 million views on YouTube and other social media. Later, Kenzo claimed, "I wasn't aware of this clip until a friend told me about it. Later, when the song's official video was published in September of that same year, he approached them to participate. This was the beginning of the Ghetto Kids, which enabled founder Daouda Kavuma to purchase the group's first pieces of equipment and allowed the members to return to school. For the band's subsequent tours of Africa and the UK, he writes and produces a number of songs.
