Brenda Chebet is a Kenyan track and field athlete who was born on March 16, 2004. She won silver in the 1500m at the World Athletics U20 Championships in 2022. She won a gold medal in the mixed relay at the 2023 World Athletics Cross Country Championships in February 2023.
Career
Chebet finished fourth in the African Championship 1500m race in Saint Pierre, Mauritius, in June 2022. She then finished sixth in the women's 800m final a few days later.
Chebet took silver in the 1500m at the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships in Cali, Colombia, in August 2022. She finished second behind Birke Haylom in a personal best time of 4:04.64.
She won a gold medal in the mixed relay at the 2023 World Athletics Cross Country Championships in Bathurst, Australia, in February 2023. Chebet and her Kenyan teammates finished the course in 23:14, with Emmanuel Wanyonyi, Mirriam Cherop, and Kyumbe Munguti racing alongside her. Chebet was in charge of the anchor leg.
